WITCHES
WITH HIS BLISTERING STANDUP COMEDY, MURRAY HAD THE AUDIENCE HOWLING AT THE MOON”
Broadway World
Tim Murray brings his spooky comedy hour ‘Witches!’ to Fort Lauderdale! Hot off his sold-out stand-up show with Michael Henry, Murray brings his musical comedy show WITCHES to Island City Stage for one night only! The show is a mix of stand up and original comedy songs about his favorite pop culture WITCHES! Murray is like a gay Bo Burnam, but painted green, doing drag!
In Witches! Murray uses hilarious personal stories about growing up a closeted, yet feminine man, who tried hard to pass as straight to avoid being burned at the stake. He will have you howling at the moon, cackling at his jokes, and crying (but hopefully not melting). The show is a tribute to LGBTQia people and how we discover our magic once we find our coven. He speaks to the many queer people who feel like they have to hide ourselves to fit in and how once we come out we really discover our powers and grow stronger once we find our queer family.
From ‘The Craft’ to ‘Wicked’ to the ‘Sanderson Sisters’ to ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ and Angelica Houston's ‘Grand High Witch,’ celebrates famous sorceresses throughout herstory and uses their stories as a parallel to the queer witch hunt.
As an actor Murray can be seen currently on ‘The Other Two’ on Prime video and the film Swan Song starring Jennifer Coolidge. He is also all over TikTok with his viral sketch comedy videos.
Murray has performed stand-up all over the U.S. including SF Sketchfest, The Brooklyn Comedy Festival and DragCon. He has been a regular on the Las Culturistas LIVE podcast episodes and his podcast Slumber Party is on iHeart radio.
He was part of the original cast of 50 Shades the Musical Off-Broadway (New York Times' Critics Pick), Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts Musical Parody Off-West End, and his new sketch comedy TV show ‘Wish You Were Queer’ produced by Trixie Mattel will debut in 2024.
